Huis van het Nederlands Brussels serves everyone learning Dutch in the capital, from expats to newcomers. When renovations were planned, it became clear the building needed more than new walls.

Together with a 90-person team, our service and spatial designers redefined the organisation's identity and service model before touching the interior. Co-creation sessions, including LEGO-based spatial exercises, helped surface ideas and build shared ownership across the organisation.

The ground floor was reimagined as an interactive gallery: the public face of a rich service offering. A new wayfinding system guides visitors across multiple floors, even those who do not yet speak a word of Dutch. The result is a building that finally reflects what the organisation stands for.
