BRUSK is a contemporary cultural hub in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage city. Every design decision had to work within that tension: present enough to guide visitors, restrained enough to respect centuries of protected streetscape.

Our spatial designers developed an integrated wayfinding system that leads visitors from landmark city views like the Dijver and Arentshof through green zones, gateways, and courtyards into the building. Inside, the system covers public exhibition spaces, back-of-house functions, and research centre BRON, so every type of visitor can orient themselves intuitively.

The process ran from user research and stakeholder alignment with Stad Brugge, Musea Brugge, heritage bodies, accessibility experts, and the architects, through to full realisation of every element, from large-scale carriers to the smallest details.

Materials, typography, and colour follow the architectural language of the building. Signage that feels like it grew there.
